DSP Award Recipient - Kaitlyn Peterson

The Portage County Board of Developmental Disabilities is proud to recognize Kaitlyn Peterson as the Portage DD Direct Support Professional (DSP) Award Recipient for the month of June.   Kaitlyn is an employee of Ultimate Beginnings and was nominated by Shelmin Evans

Here is what she had to say about Kaitlyn:

Kaitlyn is as dependable as they come! She's been a DSP with us for almost 5 years and has only called off twice! She's always on time, has a positive attitude, and provides excellent care to one of our most vulnerable individuals. Her exemplary attendance and punctuality is of great comfort to the mother of the person she cares for.  The mother knows that Kaitlyn will be on time which allows the mother to leave and report to her own job without fear of being late.  Katie's reliability and work ethic have been superb,  I wish she could be cloned.  We are so lucky to have her.

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) of the Month Award is for those staff who provide direct support or direct services for individuals served throughout Portage County.

This award is an opportunity to nominate someone who has gone above and beyond to improve the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities, while also promoting independence and inclusion.

Individual award recipients will receive public recognition from Portage DD and will be promoted on our social media channels. Award recipients will also later be considered for Direct Support Professional of the Year.

All nominations will be kept on file for review and consideration for a period of 12 months after initial submission.
