DSP Award Recipient - Ann Strayer

The Portage County Board of Developmental Disabilities is proud to recognize Ann Strayer as the Portage DD Direct Support Professional (DSP) Award Recipient for the month of October.  Ann works for Independence of Portage County, Inc. and was nominated by Deb Gordon. Here is what she had to say about Ann:

Ann has been a consistent person of support in an ever-changing system. She is kind and helpful. Being the main contact every weekday at Independence Inc office she maintains professional and willing to problem solve with anything given her. Making connections, and accessing information quickly is a task that cannot go unnoticed- she is knowledgeable and a great resource to people in this county. Anne brings comfort and a friendly welcome that is what so many of us need in such uncertain times. Please consider Anne for this monthly recognition for these reasons and so many more.  Michelle Madden, CEO of Independence of Portage County, Inc. added “Ann has worked for us for 34 years.  If you don’t know something, go to Ann, she will help you out.  When she is on vacation, she is greatly missed.  We could not manage without her!”
