Competency-Based Training and Longevity Add-On and Additional Trainings for Frontline Staff

We are proud to offer additional training opportunities for DSPs and frontline staff!  Starting in September 2026, we’ll be offering sessions on many different topics for Frontline Staff. The sessions are offered free of charge and are open to current providers in Portage County.

These sessions will be taught from Lighthouse Cove’s (formerly OADSP) curriculum.  Each session is up to 3 hours and is approved by DODD to be used toward the 60 training hours required for DODD’s longevity bonus.

Sessions will be on Wednesdays (some morning and some afternoon sessions).  Dates/times are subject to change.

These modules are offered alongside our DSP-U program, and you may be with either juniors or seniors in the program from local high schools.  This is a great opportunity for you to help us shape the next generation of DSPs.  Let’s show them how we do things right here in Portage County!
