Halloween can be a challenging time for some individuals and families. The bright lights, loud noises, having to say “trick or treat” — what if you’re non-verbal — the social cues, changes in routine, and costumes that may be uncomfortable for sensory reasons. The Portage County Board of Developmental Disabilities invites us to trick-or-treat with us at our Happy Day Services Building in a supportive, inclusive, and accessible environment. Wear a costume or not! Say trick-or-treat or not! We welcome you for YOU!
