The Portage County Board of Developmental Disabilities is proud to offer Family Swim.
Event Details
- When: Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
- What: Open swim time for eligible persons served and their families.
- Capacity: Limit of 8 persons served per class.
- Guests: Each person served can bring up to 3 additional family members.
- Cost: All swim classes are FREE and open to persons served and/or eligible for services with Portage DD.
Important Information
- A lifeguard is always on duty.
- Locker rooms open 30 minutes before and after event times for changing.
- A guardian or other approved adult must always accompany each swimmer.
How to Sign Up
- Contact: Call the office at 330-678-2400 or email swim@portagedd.org with your interest.
- Eligibility: During registration, it must be confirmed that the participant is currently receiving or is eligible for services with Portage DD.
- Paperwork: Review and sign a copy of the Program Procedures.
- Scheduling: Sign up for whichever available dates you would like.
- Location: Enjoy the pool at Portage DD’s Happy Day Services Building (2500 Brady Lake Road, Ravenna).
