The Earl and Mary Lohr Community Service Award is in honor of Earl and Mary Lohr, who were tireless advocates for people with developmental disabilities in Portage County for more than 50 years. The award was established by the Portage County Board of Developmental Disabilities in 2007 on the 40th anniversary of the establishment of County Boards of DD. The Lohrs were the first recipients of this award.
